The Inclusive Parent · For families

For the parents who are learning to parent differently.

Warm, honest sessions for parents and carers of children who are neurodivergent, have SEND, or are waiting for answers. From a former Headteacher and SENCO who has been the parent in the meeting too.

No diagnosis needed. If you're wondering, worrying or waiting, you're welcome here.

Does this sound familiar?

The things parents tell me, often before they've even sat down.

“The usual parenting advice just doesn't work for my child.”
“School mornings are a battle before we've even left the house.”
“I don't know who to ask at school, or what I'm allowed to ask for.”
“I worry their brothers and sisters are getting less of me.”

You're not getting it wrong. You're doing something harder than most people will ever see. And you don't have to work it all out alone.

Sessions for parents

Practical, honest and kind

Every session is a safe space. You can listen, ask questions, or simply be in a room with people who understand. Nobody is ever asked to share more than they want to.

Who I am

Hello, I'm Rebekah

I've been a Headteacher, a Deputy and a SENCO. I know how schools work for children with SEND, from the inside.

I'm also a mum of five, and I've had to learn to parent differently. I've sat in the meetings, filled in the forms and waited on the lists. I know how exhausting it can be, and how lonely.

So I can help you understand how school thinks, and what you can ask for. And I'll never talk down to you. I'll walk alongside you.

Questions

Things parents ask

Does my child need a diagnosis?

No. The sessions are for any parent or carer whose child is neurodivergent, has SEND, or is waiting for assessment, or who simply feels something isn't quite right.

Will I have to talk about my family?

Only if you want to. You're welcome to listen, ask a question in the chat, or just take in what helps.

Is this advice about my child's school?

I share how schools work and what you can reasonably ask for. I can't advise on a specific case or give legal advice, but I'll point you to the right specialist services if you need them.

Can my partner or a grandparent come too?

Yes. Anyone who helps care for your child is welcome.
